Lunch and Learn: Mental Health in Emerging Adulthood

The term "emerging adulthood" describes a developmental phase between the ages of 18-25 when young adults are navigating key milestones associated with adulthood: careers, financial responsibility, intimate relationships, and personal identity. The transformations of this phase are wide-ranging and have important implications for mental health. We will discuss risk factors for mental health conditions during emerging adulthood and ways to support emerging adults in navigating this phase of development.

Information covered in this event will be valuable for parents/guardians of emerging adults and anyone who works with this population in educational or mental health settings.
